Breezy Café – Philadelphia, PA
The Point Breeze section of Philadelphia has seen resurgence, but is still a very rough around the edges part of town. One of the brighter spots of the neighborhood would be Breezy Café (BC) where I stopped in for a quick lunch. The interior is pretty small, but holds everything one could need. From wifi, books to read, and board games to play there is a little bit of something for everyone regardless of age or entertainment you seek. The service was friendly, but seemed a little rushed for such a setting that asks for relaxation.
I would order the fresh roasted turkey with swiss cheese on a pretzel roll and an order of hand cut fries. The fries were very good and cooked perfectly. The turkey was a little on the dry side, but a better grade and quality then most places that serve turkey. The pretzel roll even though not as much as the fad as it was a year or two ago did complement the overall sandwich well. I enjoyed my time at BC and will happily go back to try a few more things from their menu and play a few more games.
