LIVE this Sunday, August 19th at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio will be a special episode hosted by Chetna Macwan the founder of Spice Culture Cooking, an Indian Cooking instructor, and an award winning chef. She will be joined by Small Bites Radio’s resident #Vegan Chef Christina Martin.

They are thrilled to welcome Jesse McDonald and Cole Forrest of New Wing Order Food Truck who serve award-winning wings and Southern grub. New Wing Order is a hot wing focused food truck hitting the streets of Memphis! In addition to award-winning wings, they offer delicious dishes like Buffalo Chicken Tacos and BBQ Nachos. It started as a group of friends who loved hot wings – fried, grilled, smoked – you name it, they ate it. They would count down the days to the Southern Hotwing Festival. The event is like no other, featuring more than 70 competition cooking teams making the best wings in the South. They’d go each year, partake of amazing wings, and watch as a new team was crowned Grand Champion. After years of developing their own recipes, they decided to throw their hat in the ring and began competing. They made finals their inaugural year competing in the Southern Hot Wing Festival. After a couple more years of creating and perfecting new flavors, they took home the Grand Championship in 2015, Third Place in 2016, the Grand Championship in 2017, and Second Place in 2018! One of the team members, Jesse McDonald, had been working in the culinary industry for years and looked at the success at the festival, the biggest one of its kind in the South, as a sign these wings should be available to Memphians year round.

Then in studio is Madura Sotolongo, the Founder of The Chai Bar. She came to the U.S. as a graduate student of Financial Engineering at Temple University in the Summer of 2014 after completing her undergrad in Math and master’s in International Business in India. She ended up getting an 8 am desk job at Comcast as a Data Analyst right after her graduation. While at work she got Chai tea cravings and would often go to coffee shops in search of a good cup. She soon realized that if she wanted a real cup of Chai she would have to brew her own. This led Madura to brew for her friends as well and she really enjoyed sharing Chai and culture with an expanding group of friends and Chai lovers. She left Comcast in the spring of 2017 to start working on The Chai Bar and was up and running in farmers markets that fall. Her love for all things Chai and disappointment at the lack of availability of good Chai at coffee shops drove her to quit her job and purse this dream of introducing a real cup of Chai in American lifestyle. Chai is a most loved and served Indian drink and Madura says, it takes practice and patience to brew this surprisingly simple drink to make. A fresh and delicious cup of Chai is a work of alchemy. The Chai Bar in Philadelphia welcomes you to experience this wonderful experience called Chai in its most authentic form made from freshly ground spices with love and recipes that’s been handed down generations over centuries. So, don’t forget when you sip a cup of Chai it’s not just a blend of spices and tea with milk, it’s the amalgamation of popular culture, tradition, diversity, history and stories in one cup!

Also in studio will be Natasha Bhalla a Health & Wellness Coach for Prana Wellness & Health. Natasha has fused her knowledge, experience and passion into programs and workshops that empower individuals to take control of their health and wellness. Through vital nutrition and self-care techniques, Natasha offers the knowledge and skills necessary to increase prana, a Sanskrit word that mean “life force energy,” which is critical to feeling well and happy. Binghamton, NY Quick Eats

Binghamton, NY Quick Eats

I was extremely impressed with Binghamton, New York. This is a really cool little town with lots going on, decent places to eat, nice sports complexes, and great walkability in and around the city and waterway. This town was a lot of fun and would definitely head back there. Below are just a few of the spots visited.

 Old World Deli

I really liked this spot. It is a very affordable breakfast destination with great meals and free coffee with every meal. The service was top notch as well. I had bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel that was eaten before a picture was even thought about.

 b1

Lost Dog Café

This is one of the best places to eat and hang out in Binghamton in my opinion. The vibe is very chill and relaxed, while the food was delicious. I had the Beef Barley Soup which was one of better cups of this soup I have had in a long time. Then I had chicken lemongrass fried dumplings that were yummy, roast beef sammie sliders that were outstanding, and ended my visit with parmesan sage-crusted chicken sandwich.

NYSEG Stadium home of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies

This is a really nice place to catch a baseball game. Not a bad seat in the house and the Roundabout BBQ Pit was surprisingly tasty for stadium food with their local foods of a Chicken Spiedie Deluxe with Salt Potatoes and Mac and Cheese.

LIVE this Sunday, August 12th at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio, sitting in with Glenn as special Co-host this week is John Cohl the Editor in Chief for Mobile Food News, Philly Mobile Food Association Ambassador that Rob Mitchell is President of, and John is partner with Corner Pub Kitchen’s Ron Sullivan. They’re going to have a smoking good time welcoming on the show Tuffy Stone to talk about his new cookbook Cool Smoke: The Art of Great Barbecue from St. Martin’s Press. For backyard barbecuers who are interested in taking on the competition circuit, Cool Smoke offers tips and tricks from one of the best in the business. Stone’s competition secrets―gleaned from more than a decade of success on the circuit―have never before been shared beyond the walls of his cook school in Richmond, Virginia. Cool Smoke gives an insider’s look behind the scenes and offers advice on creating perfect competition turn-ins that have made Tuffy Stone a World Champion five times over. With mouthwatering recipes, over 200 hundred color photos, essential guides to cookers and equipment, and expert advice, Tuffy Stone’s Cool Smoke is the definitive guide to all things barbecue. Why is this book so great? Because Tuffy Stone is a World Record-breaking champion pitmaster, a former Marine, a classically-trained chef, an acclaimed caterer, and an occasional reality television star. Dubbed “The Professor,” Tuffy’s legendary precision and obsession with the science of smoke make him one of the most influential people in barbecue. In the 13 years since he founded Cool Smoke Barbecue, the team has won hundreds of trophies including more than 40 Grand Championships and five World Grand Championships. Cool Smoke is the only team in history to have won the prestigious Jack Daniel’s World Championship Barbecue Invitational back to back and the only team to have won it three times, doing so in 2013, 2015, and 2016. As a result of his success on the competition circuit and his extensive knowledge of all things barbecue, he was selected to join Destination America’s show BBQ Pitmasters, in 2012. Tuffy’s life is barbecue has taken him all over the world including cooking for the troops in Kuwait, and heading to Meatstock in Australia to teach his famous Cool Smoke Barbecue Class. Most recently he cooked for sold out crowds at the James Beard Foundation House, a rarity for a barbecue pitmaster.

Then joining them will be Adam Fleischman the author of Flavor Bombs: The Umami Ingredients That Make Taste Explode from Rux Martin Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. ADAM FLEISCHMAN is the creative force behind Umami Burger and 800degreesme Neopolitan Pizza, restaurants with more than 40 locations in California, Chicago, Las Vegas, Dubai, and Japan. He has been profiled in The New Yorker, the New York Times, Wired, and the The Wall Street Journal. The founder of the national empires Umami Burger and 800 Degrees Pizza shows how to detonate flavor in beloved dishes using ordinary ingredients high in umami. Why does everyone love burgers and pizza? When Adam Fleischman investigated, he discovered what they—and many other ultra-flavorful dishes—have in common: umami. A renegade self-taught cook, Fleischman deployed this savory “fifth dimension of taste” to ratchet up flavor using ingredients naturally rich in umami, such as Parmesan, tomatoes, caramelized onions, and anchovy paste. In so doing, he created ultimate versions of icons, including Umami Burger with Port and Stilton, Sweet and Savory Brisket, and Parmesan Fondue. All the recipes are made from the same “umami pantry” ably explicated in the front of the book. This sounds delicious.

Talking more about flavors in studio will be Micheal Van Houten the owner of Bottled Thyme. The artisanal craft of sauce making can be dated as far back as the beginnings of the Roman empire.  Many historians believe that sauces were originally meant to cover up the debatable freshness and quality of the food being served. The good news for us is we live in a time where sauces are a delicate accompaniment, meant to enhance the entire meal. Bottled Thyme is built on the philosophy that the family unit is one of the most important parts of life, and helps bring balance to an otherwise hectic schedule.  One of the most influential times of the day for families is the tradition of sitting around the table, enjoying a nice meal while sharing stories of what the day was like for everyone. What once required an afternoon of preparing and cooking is no longer necessary. Bottled Thyme aims to provide you with the same flavorful and delicious meal, all while not having to sacrifice your time. Their culinarians hand craft each sauce with the same love and devotion as they would if they were cooking for their own families.  The passion, mixed with the highest quality of ingredients conveyed into each sauce leaves our customers excited for more after each bite.

LIVE this Sunday, July 29th at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio, joining us in studio will be one of our favorite guests Vernon Rochester. Vernon is the owner of Rochester’s Barbecue & Grill in Borough of Lawnside, New Jersey. They are doing a relaunch of their menu that we can’t wait to see and try what’s new. They are a BYOB with Wednesday Nights – All You Can Eat BBQ, and also locals love their Friday and Saturday Night Jazz sessions from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm featuring Michael J Corman, an amazing Keyboardist/Vocalist. They focus on soul food, barbecue, and southern cooking, but with locally sourced products as much as possible with a focus on dietary diversity. They do traditionally prepared items on the menu such as their amazing Ollie’s Triple beans, made with ground beef, sausage and bacon and simmered with “secret spices” all the way to a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes to choose from. You heard right, they also focus on vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Since Rochester’s is a BYOB, we thought we better to join us in studio and talk about what you can bring there to drink than Tom Hendricks the NJ Brand Manager for River Horse Brewing Co.. River Horse brewing was started in 1996 by three brothers who really enjoyed homebrewing. Their original location was in Lambertville, New Jersey right across the bridge from New Hope PA. People often still associate them with that location because many people would walk around New Hope, or bike/run the river trail, and then swing by afterword for a beer. Then in 2007 the brothers were looking to sell the business and it was perfect timing for Chris Walsh and Glenn Bernabeo to take over. Chris and Glen were working in finance, but wanted to get out of the corporate world and start with a new opportunity. They jumped at the chance to own the brewery and took it over in 2007. One of the first things they did was hiring their head brewer, Chris Rakow, to handle making the beer and come up with new recipes. The first original recipe that Rakow made for the company was Hipp-O-Lantern Imperial Pumpkin Ale, which is still one of their most popular seasonal beers. By 2013 they had out grown the brewery in Lambertville and needed to move so they could expand brewing. Their Lambertville brewery was only 10,000 sq feet and two stories, which is not very conducive for brewing beer. In Ewing, New Jersey they found a single level, 25,000 sq ft space that used the same water table as their Lambertville brewery, which is a very important factor in keeping the beer consistent. They are now able to distribute their beers through all of New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Eastern New York and all of Connecticut.

Then we are thrilled to welcome Becky Selengut the author of two recent books, “How to Taste: The Curious Cook’s Handbook to Seasoning and Balance, from Umami to Acid and Beyond–with Recipes” and “Good Fish: 100 Sustainable Seafood Recipes from the Pacific Coast” both published by Sasquatch Books. When she’s not squid jigging, fishing, or cavorting through the woods picking wild things for her next meal, Becky Selengut is a private chef, author, humorist, and cooking teacher. A regular instructor for PCC Community Markets and The Pantry, Selengut is also a private chef and author of two other books How to Taste and Shroom: Mind-Bendingly Good Recipes for Cultivated and Wild Mushrooms, and co-author of Not One Shrine: Two Food Writers Devour Tokyo. In her spare time she co-hosts a comedy podcast called Look Inside This Book Club where she reviews only the free Look Inside samples of outrageous romance novels. Selengut lives Seattle – Capitol Hill with her wife and their two dogs.

Talking about cookbooks and podcasts our next guest is an expert on both subjects. When New Yorker Suzy Chase Osborne a former radio personality and cookbook publicist isn’t shooting Instagram stories of her beloved West Village neighborhood, sipping wine at a cozy New York, New York wine bar with her husband, whipping up after-school brownies for her 11-year-old son, shopping at a local grocery for dinner ingredients, assembling her latest Spotify Kitchen Mixtape or DJ’ing in Brooklyn, New York she’s behind the microphone chatting with chefs and cookbook authors. Many believed the internet would spell the end of the cookbook. But true foodies at heart always knew that nothing could break that special bond between tried and true recipe manuals and their love of the kitchen. Hence, the podcast is bringing to life what was once on a page of a cookbook like Suzy Chase’s Cookery by the Book. The 3rd season started in June. Suzy has merged the tried and true love of cooking with a modern flair to help the cookbook transcend new generations, and it’s working. Chase’s Cookery by the Book, now in its third season with more than 90 episodes, is the only cookbook podcast that has featured iconic names like Jacques Pépin, Dorie Greenspan, Pati Jinich, Pierre Thiam and Julia Turshen. It also marks Chase’s second venture into podcasting. A female podcasting pioneer, Chase introduced in 2003 TheGrooveRadio.com, the internet’s longest-running soul music show. She had a monthly residency at Trophy Bar in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn for six years, currently gigs around the city, and podcasts from her West Village apartment where she lives with her husband and pre-teen son.

To top it all off we are so happy to hear from Blaine Heinonen and Sarah Anne Wolff of the band Pretty Gritty with their song “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore” that we will play for all of our listeners off their latest album – Seven Year Itch – by CD Baby, C and D Network Publishing, Cannon/Buono Production, and Creative and Dreams Music Network,LLC. What a lineup!!!!

There was recently a benefit to support the Flag Initiative sponsored by Honorable Judge Zac Shaffer, and Joe Campbell of Chickie’s & Pete’s along with other local leaders. Philadelphia City Hall now has American Flags surrounding the top of the building as the 10,000 American Flag Initiative continues to gain momentum.

They will be joined in studio with Florian Furxhiu the owner of Illegal Tacos at Broad and Lombard in Center City District and also Mediterranean Café at 1427 West Passyunk Ave. Florian came to America in May of 2000. After graduating from La Salle University where he studied political science for the first year and then business administration, he was already planning on opening his first business which had been a long-time dream for him ever since he was a kid. He not only runs successful restaurants, he is a highly respected Keller Williams real estate agent as well. Can’t wait!

Also coming in will is Salvatore Lo Piccolo of SMC Fuels to chat about Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar. A new coffee business founded in Havertown, Pennsylvania – the proprietors are Italian Americans who came to the United States from Palermo, Sicily. In Italy the family owned a small farm before coming to the U.S. in the years following the second World War. Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is about bringing an authentic Italian Espresso Bar experience to America. We wanted to bring that certifiable Espresso Italiano that has worldwide recognition to their local community. In addition to the authentic Espresso Italiano coffee beans they also offer Organic, Bird Safe, Fair Trade Arabica beans for their coffee drinks, as well as Nitro Brew and Cold Brew Coffee on TAP and bottled for grab-n-go. The location of Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is going to be located at 400 E. Township Line Rd. Havertown, Pa 19083 – it’s a hometown favorite Sunoco Gas and Convenience Store that serves the community with the best gas prices around. Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is the product of a tight knit team of workers: Chris Moynihan, John Murdolo, Victor Marchiano, Frank Baldassarre Jr., and Gianpiero Lo Piccolo. What a great product and idea!

To top it all off with a toast of a good drink in studio will be CJ O’Fria the Brand and Sales Representative for Faber Easy Drinking Liquors Craft Spirits from Midnight Madness Distilling, LLC and bottled by Theobald & Oppenheimer. They make a line of simple easy drinking liquors such as vodka, gin, rum, and flavored vodkas at a fair and honest price point made right in Pennsylvania, while still sourcing from the same places that the big brands do with an insistence on good quality spirits for all to enjoy. LIVE this Sunday, July 15th at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio is another stellar lineup. We welcome Melissa Coleman the author of “The Minimalist Kitchen: 100 Wholesome Recipes, Essential Tools, and Efficient Techniques” from Oxmoor House Books Time Inc. Books. Melissa Coleman is a home cook and baker, designer, wife, mother, and cozy minimalist. Her popular blog, The Fauxmartha, was named a HuffPost Top 10 Food Blog and was selected as a Better Homes & Gardens Top 10 Baking Blog nominee and a SAVEUR Magazine Blog Awards Style & Design finalist. After spending three decades bouncing around the states, she’s happily planted under the snow banks of Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband, Kevin, and tiny sous chef, Hallie. Melissa cooks with the rhythm of the week—simple, modern, and mostly vegetarian on weekdays and slow and classic with a heavy dose of brunch on the weekend. She is in the process of decorating The Fauxhouse, their modern, city farmhouse. The Minimalist Kitchen is her first book. The Minimalist Kitchen: 100 Wholesome Recipes, Essential Tools, and Efficient Techniques is a cookbook, but more importantly, it’s a framework for creating a minimalist kitchen, a kitchen pared down to the essentials so you can create more. This framework will touch everything in your kitchen from your ingredients, tools, pantry, to your cooking techniques, meal planning, and shopping habits. Once the framework is in place, you can make 100+ wholesome, mix and match recipes. You’ll find Blueberry-Orange Breakfast Rolls, Banana-Coconut Baked Oatmeal, White Wine Spring Pasta, BBQ Black Bean and Quick Slaw Tacos, Crispy Pizza with Caramelized Onions, Chickpea Tikka Masala, Stovetop Mac and Cheese, and Two-Bowl Carrot Cupcakes.

Then we are happy to have join us Chef Todd Richards the author of “SOUL: A Chef’s Culinary Evolution in 150 Recipes” from Southern Living. Todd Richards is a self-taught chef who paid his dues in numerous restaurant kitchens before becoming an executive chef who garnered national attention. He has two James Beard Foundation nominations for Best Chef in the Southeast, was an Iron Chef America Cuisine competitor, and was named one of “Four New Chefs to Watch” by Esquire magazine. He is the owner/chef of Richards’ Southern Fried at Krog Street Market in Atlanta, Georgia. Black American chefs and cooks are often typecast as the experts of only one cuisine—soul food, but Todd Richards’ food is anything but stereotypical. Taste his Hot-Chicken-Style Country-Fried Lamb Steak or Blueberry-Sweet Tea-Brined Chicken Thighs as evidence. While his dishes are rooted in family and the American cuisine known as soul food, he doesn’t let his heritage restrain him. The message of Soul is that cooks can honor tradition yet be liberated to explore. Todd Richards celebrates the restorative wonders of a classic pot of Collard Greens with Ham Hocks, yet doesn’t shy away from building upon that foundational recipe with his Collard Green Ramen, a reinterpretation that incorporates far-flung flavors of cultural influences and exemplifies culinary evolution. Page after page, in more than 150 recipes and stunning photos, Todd shares his creativity and passion to highlight what soul food can be for a new generation of cooks. Whether you’re new to Southern and soul food or call the South your home, Soul will encourage you to not only step outside of the box, but to boldly walk away from it. The chapters in Soul are organized by featured ingredients: Collards, Onions, Berries, Lamb, Seafood, Corn, Tomatoes, Melons, Stone Fruit, Eggs and Poultry, Pork and Beef, Beans and Rice, and Roots. Each one begins with a traditional recipe and progresses alongside Richards’ exploration of flavor combinations and techniques.

Then Philadelphia has a visitor coming soon Wildfire Radio’s Small Bites Live with Tracey Medeiros. Tracey Medeiros is the author of “The Vermont Non-GMO Cookbook: 125 Organic and Farm-to-Fork Recipes from the Green Mountain State” from Skyhorse Publishing, Inc., Inc. and it is a 2018 Readable Feast Cookbook Awards Finalist. Tracey will be in town Saturday, July 21st teaching a cooking class at Audrey Claire Taichman‘s COOK. Also, she writes The Farmhouse Kitchen: A Guide to Eating Local column for Edible Green Mountains magazine and is also a freelance food writer, food stylist, and recipe developer and tester. She is often seen on various television cooking segments preparing one of her favorite recipes while sharing helpful culinary tips with the viewing audience. Tracey travels regionally as a guest speaker and cooking instructor, emphasizing her commitment to the sustainable food movement by using locally produced fresh ingredients to create dishes that are healthy and delicious. The Vermont Non-GMO Cookbook honors the state’s mission to connect with its local organic farmlands and the farmers who nurture and care for them. It also serves as a guide for eating organically and Non-GMO Project in Vermont. The book celebrates the region’s esteemed organic food producers, farmers, cheesemakers, dairy farmers, and the chefs who partner with them to create delicious, innovative, organic, and non-GMO recipes.

We are thrilled to welcome our next guests Corey and Sara Meyer of Little Bird will be on the show as well. Little Bird Kitchen makes candied jalapeno chocolates, syrup and powder. Everything is hot and sweet, with the heat coming at the end. Each product is handcrafted and uses high-quality ingredients such as local, fresh jalapenos, premium Belgian Chocolates and non-GMO cane sugar. Sara Meyer, a former TV sound technician, needed to balance out taking care of the twins and a demanding job so she started a food blog and began testing recipes. After figuring out how to make husband and co-founder Corey Meyer’s favorite- chocolate covered orange peels- she began candying everything in the kitchen, including leftover jalapeños, even after Corey said, “you’re nuts.” After bringing them to work and having co-workers request to purchase them, Sara headed home and said, “I think we have a business.” Candied jalapeños are front and center in each recipe. Each product is handcrafted and uses high-quality ingredients such as local, fresh jalapeños, premium Belgian chocolate and non-GMO cane sugar. All Little Bird Kitchen products are kosher certified (dairy and pareve) and never use any preservatives. “We’ve noticed consumers are going out of their comfort zones and starting to explore new flavor profiles. One of the categories they turn to is spicy and Little Bird Kitchen is at the forefront of this trend. Whether it’s munching on our Fire Bites or utilizing the Fire Syrup as a marinade, we give users the option to control how much heat they get in their snack or meal,” said Sara and Corey Meyer, co-founders of Little Bird Kitchen. “Although we stumbled upon candied jalapeños, we stuck with it because it allows other flavor profiles to come through before the heat comes at the end.” Little Bird Kitchen’s candied jalapeños bring an elevation in flavor to whatever you are eating.

Finally we have Revital Shiri-Horowitz author of “It’s Just Your Imagination: Growing Up with a Narcissistic Mother – Insights of a Personal Journey” from Horowitz Publishing. Revital Shiri-Horowitz is an experienced author and presenter to communities and audiences around the world. Using her own life story and excerpts of her novels, Revital Shiri-Horowitz generates a warm and uplifting experience for the listener. Revital Shiri-Horowitz was born and raised in Israel. Cape May 2018 Tasty Eats and Treats

Cape May Tasty Eats and Treats

Having John Howard-Fusco a Cape May, New Jersey expert and author of “A Culinary History of Cape May: Salt Oysters, Beach Plums & Cabernet Franc” by The History Press at my disposal on Small Bites Radio is an asset. So when I knew I would be spending a few days down there, you’re darn right I asked for his advice and followed his wonderful book to have a great time while in Cape May. If interested in doing this as well CLICK HERE to buy his book. Below are the delicious things I had to eat in and around the area. Be sure to try them out for yourself and thank me and John Howard-Fusco later. Fyi, you really don’t need to thank me, and John would much rather you just buy his book 😉 JK

Lobster House – Cape May, NJ

Pictured is Snapper Soup, Famous Crab Soup, Fresh Jersey Oysters on the half shell, Jersey Baked Clams Casino, Clam Bake Dinner with lobster, steamed clams, shrimp, mussels, red skin potato, and an ear of corn, and a side of fresh cut thick French fries. Everything was great and the view is enjoyable on the deck.

Mad Batter – Cape May, NJ

Pictured is Mad Batter Clam Chowder a rich blend of chopped clams, onions and bacon in a heavy cream broth with a touch of saffron, Pan Seared Red Snapper and Battered Shrimp with warm corn salad, lime compound butter, fresh avocado, mashed potatoes and asparagus, and Chocolate Lava Cake. This was a great meal and loved the atmosphere and service was top notch.

Elizabeth Degener A.K.A the Cape May Bread Lady with Enfin Farms at 609 Sunset Blvd, Cape May, NJ

I was lucky enough to get the very last piece of bread for sale for the day and the stand was only open for less than an hour. Pictured is the pumpernickel bread and it was AMAZINGLY awesome and tasty.

Uncle Bill’s Pancake House & Family Restaurant – Cape May, NJ

ub2

Pictured are their famous tender buttermilk pancakes that they have been serving for over 50 years. They were so yummy and a good way to start the day with food in my belly.

Then not technically in Cape May, but close enough to drive to we visited Back Bay Bistro – Villas, NJ

Pictured is crab bisque which was awesome, steamers which is littleneck clams in a garlic wine broth that were out of this world, and their Honey Dipped Fried Chicken that was a slam dunk of a great meal and would order again in a second. This place really surprised me since it was a little off the beaten path and food was top notch.
