This Sunday, June 11th at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio it is all things BBQ. We will be having a live rib eating competition with an esteemed lineup of special judges in studio. Ok, esteemed may be pushing it since this is our show. Lets talk about who is going to appear.
First we have Mike Peters AKA the BBQ Pitchman as well as the co-manager and host of the “Great American Cookout”. Mike is also the VP of The Kansas City Barbeque Society so this man obliviously knows his BBQ.
The Great American Cookout with stops in all four corners of the country, the 2017 Great American Cookout will bring the art and taste of outdoor cooking to some of the biggest and best barbeque contests, festivals and retail locations throughout the nation. In its eleventh year, the Great American Cookout will stop at 20 food festivals and select retail locations throughout the tour’s seven months on the road. BBQ experts and GAC tour hosts, Mike and Christine Peters, will share grilling tips and free samples with event attendees, so bring your napkins, this is one cookout you do not want to miss!

Then we have Bob Trudnak the owner of The BBQ Guru and creator of BBQ Bob’s Hav’n a BBQ which has previously won Best Ribs at the World Food Championships. Oh boy, sounds like we have some big competition coming in.
Joining them will also be one of “Small Bites” good friends, Tom Bera of Philly Blind Pig BBQ who has many awards himself and does a monthly BBQ night with David Wilby at Dawson Street Pub to put is hat in the mix of best rib. This is getting exciting.
Finalizing who is entering the rib contest is Small Bites co-host extraordinaire Glenn Gross owner of Fat Jack’s BBQ and star of BBQ Pitmasters and regular on FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia and just recently featured on FYI Philly with Alicia Vitarelli Pantaleno and Alicia Vitarelli really enjoyed her visit.
Who is going to be doing the judging???? Well we have Russ Hazzon a Master KCBS Judge to keep everyone in line and following the rules, Jeff Belonger the Founder & President of Myphillyalive.com – All About Philadelphia and Social Media Strategist at Jeff Belonger – Social Media – Marketing – Branding, Michael Cappelli the owner of Cappelli Brothers Cigar Company and Pizzeria Cappelli, Darnell Hicks will be joining in the fun as he is the founder of PartyNerdz and one of the twenty hosts 😉 on the show with Gervase Peterson, Kenneth Hicks, Aubrey Johnson, Jorge Vergara, Darrius Doc Rizzo Golden, Karim Byrd, Nick DiGuglielmo on PartyNerdz Podcast, and last but not least our very own Chef Barbie Marshall who was named Pennsylvania’s most influential chef by Cooking Light. Now that is a tough panel to please.
