It’s not only “Can you smell with Dwayne The Rock Johnson is Cooking” but Can you smell all the BBQ Smoke this Sunday, September 17th at 635pm on Wildfire Radio as Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com returns with another BBQ themed show. We are thrilled to welcome BBQ’er extraordinaire BBQ Pitmasters Tuffy Stone. Tuffy Stone is a classically trained French chef, television personality and accomplished pitmaster who can be considered the most successful guy on the competitive barbecue circuit over the last few years. He is a judge and host on the Destination America reality television show BBQ Pitmasters since 2009. Tuffy is the head cook on the team Cool Smoke and co-owns four Q Barbeque restaurants in Richmond, Virginia. He recently opened a fifth restaurant, Rancho T. Before his success on the competition barbecue scene, Tuffy was best known as one of the premiere caterers in Virginia as the co-owner and proprietor of A Sharper Palate Catering & Events, a top rated catering and events firm in Richmond. He has earned Grand Champion titles in nearly every major barbecue competition on the circuit. In 2013 Stone took home two World Champion titles while only cooking eight contests and he followed up in 2014 with another World Championship title, winning the American Royal Association. That year he also won 1st Runner Up at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Barbecue Cook Off World Championship, and took 2nd place in ribs at Memphis in May International Festival. Tuffy has won contests all over the country, including back to back wins at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue, Grand Champion at 2013 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey World Championship Barbecue Invitational, and First Place in Whole Shoulder at the 2010 Memphis in May World Championship to name a few. Most recently, Tuffy took home the top prize in competition barbecue, winning Grand Champion at the 2015 Kingsford Charcoal Invitational. We can’t wait!
Also appearing on the show is another expert in the BBQ world, SandyFulton/Porkanizer. Sandy Fulton is the BBQ Competition Organizer, Secretary for the Board of Directors, and Chairperson on the Sanctioning and Banquet Committees for The Kansas City Barbeque Society. KCBS organizes and runs some of the biggest and best events on the BBQ circuit WORLDWIDE!
Our good friend Tom Bera the Pitmaster for Philly Blind Pig BBQ will also be joining us in studio, and we can’t wait to see what delicious treats he has for us. Tom is also good friends with the Just Grubbin crew who premieres on Wildfire Radio this Sunday at 8pm following our show, so I am sure they will be peeking in studio and praying there are some leftovers.
We will also be joined by Jessica Clegg and Jason R Sturgeon. They are running the Made on American Street 2017: BBQ & Homebrew Fest on Oct. 15th in Fishtown, Philadelphia. Jessica is the organizer and Jason is the President of the Philadelphia Homebrew Club. Oh, boy that sounds tasty and like I street I want to live on and an event that’s good time to attend.
Where there is fire, their must be smoke, so obviously things are still smoking! Bringing even more tasty BBQ treats will be, Tim Monk an amateur BBQ enthusiast who runs @MONKMAN’S BBQ and will talk what it is like to have BBQ as a hobby. We can’t wait to try the food!
Actor John DiRenzo will also be helping in studio with his valuable insight and experience in the culinary world.
