We are thrilled to welcome Chef Alexander Yoon, Chef and Owner of Little Fish BYO the latest The Kimmel Cultural Campus – Garces Group – Chef Jose Garces – Garces Family Foundation – Volvér – Chefs in Residency Program participant. His residency will be from May 4th to May 31st, 2022. Donations at Volver will support Chef Yoon’s next project of opening a bigger restaurant. At Little Fish,, there is an ever-changing menu of fresh seafood. Chef and owner Alex Yoon brings together influences from across Asia to create imaginative dishes like the steaming bowl of Korean-style seafood hotpot and the spicy shrimp “rendang.” Alexander Yoon was raised in Philadelphia with an appreciation of the cooking craft from a young age. His culinary studies began at the City’s Walnut Hill College and he went on to join a Philadelphia classic, Le Bec-Fin. After later working in the kitchens of Benu in San Francisco and Mirazur in the French Riviera, he returned to Philadelphia to become the owner of Little Fish in 2016. In regards to Chef Yoon’s residency at Volver “This opportunity is a dream come true,” said Yoon. “I have long admired Chef Jose and all of his restaurants, especially Volvér, so to have the opportunity to cook in that kitchen with Chef was something I couldn’t turn away.”
