Had a family‑style Italian feast at Pop’s Trattoria in Audubon where the Chicken Parmesan was perfectly breaded and melty, the Fried Calamari was delightfully crispy, the Italian Onion Soup was rich and comforting, the Antipasta showed off savory meats, cheeses, and marinated veggies, and the Roasted Pork Orecchiette wowed with tender pork, vibrant pasta, and bold flavors all in one bite. It’s old‑school Italian‑American with a South Philly soul, owned by a French‑trained chef who turned Café Le Jardin into Pop’s in May 2025 and the restaurant buzzes with fast, friendly service, BYOB vibes, and a warm, authentic atmosphere that makes every dish feel extraordinary. Definitely a must‑visit Italian destination.
Again, in 2024, Small Bites with Donato Marino and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com was blown away by winning the Best of the Best in the Philadelphia Region Arts & Entertainment category out of 80,000 votes tallied in total through Metro Philly’s Best of Philadelphia for 2024.
