Visited The Red Eyed Crab in Port Norris, NJ, and I’m still thinking about the incredible treat I had there. This little gem is tucked away in one of the most historic oyster towns in the country, Port Norris has deep roots in the oyster industry, so you know the seafood is going to be top-notch and as fresh as it gets.
I ordered their Oysters Rock, and let me tell you… they were out of this world. 😍
These fresh, local oysters are topped with sautéed spinach, rich cream, and melted cheese, then baked until bubbly and golden. The flavors were perfectly balanced, creamy, savory, and just the right touch of briny freshness from the oysters themselves. You could taste the local waters in the best way possible.
The Red Eyed Crab has that cozy, coastal vibe as it’s casual but full of character, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their community.
If you’re anywhere near South Jersey, this spot is absolutely worth the trip. Come hungry and ready to enjoy some of the freshest seafood you’ll find in the region.
