The feeling of seeing tanks full of live seafood as soon as you step inside a restaurant gives me a good feeling. You can’t get the product any fresher than pulling it out of your own aquarium. Brother Seafood Restaurant has just that. The people here went above and beyond and everything was delicious. I had their Shanghai Pork Juicy Bun, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, Shrimp w. Ginger and Scallion, Beef with Black Bean Sauce, Fish Fillet with Black Pepper Sauce, , Roast Pork Lo Mein, and Roast Pork appetizer.

Pure Eats – Lexington, VA

Pure Eats is a retro, counter-serve nook doling out house-made donuts and locally sourced burgers and ice cream. It is down the block from Virginia Military Institute and just minutes from Natural Bridge State Park. I had a donuts, hot dog, fries, onion rings, burger with mushrooms, and a vanilla milkshake. All was pretty good and better than fast food locations.

They have a little bit of everything at Jaho. From breakfast, lunch, desserts, snacks, coffee, a full bar, and even Japanese-style soft serve ice cream. I gave the vanilla ice cream a try. It was very similar to custard in my opinion, but whatever you want to compare it to, I will just say it was indeed a tasty treat and the vibe here is cool.

Dirty Water Dough Company – Boston, MA

Their dough is made with our their own Dirty Water IPA which is what gives it a distinct flavor. I had the Steak N Cola Pizza which is Cola marinated shaved steak, caramelized onions, gorgonzola, shredded mozzarella, Romano cheese, and a regular cheese pizza. They were both pretty good.

The food here is down right amazing! The fried chicken was seasoned and cooked beautifully, ROASTED JALAPENO MAC & CHEESE with cavatappi pasta, spicy bacon, French’s onions was spot on, and CARAMELIZED SWEET POTATOES with peach jam, chive cream cheese, candied pecans was delicious.

China Joy – Bar Harbor, ME

The people here are nice. They just won’t edit an order. I ordered General Tso combo that came with pork fried rice, egg roll, and chicken teriyaki. I wanted wonton soup instead of the chicken teriyaki, but no could do. The most important part was that the food really good, prices were reasonable, and order was made quickly. If in the mood for take-out Chinese food they certainly are a great option.

Lobster is a delicious treat. It makes almost anything better. At Ben and Bill’s they have even added it to ice cream. You heard correct, you can get lobster ice cream here. I wasn’t that brave as I just went with a homemade vanilla ice cream milkshake. They have everything a sweet tooth could desire here so be sure to check them out.
