Ziggel’s Cuisine in Voorhees Township, NJ may be small in size, but it’s big on flavor and even bigger on friendly service. While it might not have a ton of seats for dining in, that just adds to its charm. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re part of the family from the moment you walk through the door. The jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage is a true taste sensation. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection, with just the right amount of kick from the jerk seasoning. And let’s not forget about the sides – the rice and peas are fluffy and flavorful, while the cabbage adds a satisfying crunch and freshness to the dish. It’s a little of a fancier version of Jerk Chicken and not as smoky as you would expect so some may complain about that, but regardless it was tasty. I would certainly go back to try more of the menu.

Tuscan Pizza – Sicklerville, NJ

Eating that appetizer of Fried Zucchini was biting into a golden-brown slice of heaven. The zucchini was perfectly sliced, coated in a light, crispy batter, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite had flavorful zucchini inside. It’s the kind of appetizer that leaves you wanting more after every bite, with its irresistible combination of savory flavors and satisfying texture.

As for the Chicken Francese it was a sauce made with capers, butter, white wine, and lemon. The chicken was lightly breaded and pan-fried to achieve a crispy exterior while remaining moist. The sauce was a blend of tangy lemon, savory butter, and the subtle bite of capers, enhanced by the richness of the white wine on top of linguine.

They are above average for your regular pizza place, and the highlight by far was the fried zucchini. I could eat that all day.

Again, in 2023, Small Bites with Donato Marino and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com was blown away by winning the Best of the Best in the Philadelphia Region Arts & Entertainment category out of 80,000 votes tallied in total through Metro Philly’s Best of Philadelphia for 2023. Nestled in the heart of Sicklerville, New Jersey, The Jersey G.O.A.T Grill + Public House is elevating pub fare and comfort food. Upon stepping through its doors, patrons are greeted with an inviting ambiance and an aroma that promises an above average dining experience.

A highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the grilled Korean BBQ wings, a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate with each succulent bite. The wings were perfectly grilled, boasting a tantalizing char that added depth to the already rich marinade. The fusion of sweet and savory in the Korean BBQ sauce was a stroke of genius, elevating these wings to a level of culinary artistry seldom seen in pub fare.

Equally impressive was the filet tip cheesesteak, a decadent masterpiece. Featuring tender, seared filet tips nestled amidst a symphony of flavors, including caramelized onions, a velvety four-cheese sauce, blistered shishitos, all housed within a perfectly crafted seeded roll. Each component harmonized effortlessly, elevating the traditional cheesesteak experience. Paired with a generous serving of crispy fries, it was a delicious meal.

Beyond the cuisine, The Jersey G.O.A.T Grill + Public House boasted impeccable service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff exuded genuine passion for their craft, providing attentive service that enhanced the overall experience.

Yummy Yummy Take Out Chinese Restaurant in Bellmawr, New Jersey is serving up an array of Americanized Chinese cuisine. It falls slightly above the average take-out joint and as it surprises with unique offering of delicious Sha Cha beef. Sha Cha beef. This lesser-known dish hails from the Chaoshan region of China and is a true culinary delight. Sha Cha sauce, the heart of this dish, is a savory and slightly spicy concoction made from soybean oil, garlic, shallots, chilies, brill fish, and dried shrimp. It’s a symphony of flavors that adds depth and complexity to any dish it graces.

Yummy Yummy Take Out’s rendition of Sha Cha beef is not spot on, but they get the job done. Slices of beef are stir-fried to perfection with crisp vegetables like bell peppers, onions, and broccoli. The result? A harmonious blend of savory, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors with each bite.

What sets Yummy Yummy Take Out apart is their willingness to venture beyond the usual fare found at most Americanized Chinese restaurants. While you can certainly find your classic General Tso’s chicken and sweet and sour pork here, it’s the inclusion of dishes like Sha Cha beef that sets them apart from the rest.

This place is truly a fusion of flavors. They offer Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. Prices are reasonable and service was nice. I enjoyed their shrimp drunken noodles with wonton soup. The shrimp were cooked really nice and jumbo sized which is appreciated. If in the area they are a good choice.

May Flower is your usual take-out Chinese location, but their online ordering was seamless. For being a tiny location and a neighborhood destination, they have a really nice website and system. The service was really nice and friendly, and prices reasonable. I had their black bean shrimp and wonton soup. Everything was a notch above the typical take out, and overall I was satisfied. If you live around the area, they may be a good choice.

So what do I order when I go to the Sushi King? Chicken Teriyaki of course. Even though they specialize in sushi, the entree was above average and a good price point. Lots of chicken and even more sauteed onions underneath the chicken. Online ordering made it seamless and easy, and service was friendly. I would go back and try some sushi items for sure next time.

SunPress states that they were born out of the fresh and bright ingredients of Costa Rica, the bold flavors of Mexico, and the artisan sandwiches of Cuba. I tried their Real Cubano sandwich made with mojo pork, smoked ham, pickles, swiss, and cubano mustard. It is nice to have so many different options around South Jersey. Have you ever been there? What is your favorite thing? They are a nice addition and I would try some other items on their menu to see if they would go into my regular rotation.
