Love Live Sweets – Millstone, NJ

Love Live Sweets – Millstone, NJ

#SmallBitesRadio was named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020.

Right next to the Jackson Premium Outlets and just a short distance from Six Flags Great Adventure is Love Live Sweets. They offer a nice selection of sweets and many other products that they are making fresh daily onsite. I had their honey carmel, chocolate sea salt carmel, vanilla cupcake, and a vanilla milkshake. All were a tasty treat, better than average, and when in the area would certainly stop by again.

Dark Ride was just released last Thursday making it perfect time to give fans of stout beer the perfect stocking stuffer. Dark Ride – Black Chocolate Salted Stout stands at a cool 7.5% ABV and drinks like sweet chocolate, cacao nibs, touches of vanilla and dark dried fruit. Brewed and conditioned with Black Lava Sea Salt, in-house roasted cacao nibs, and Madagascar vanilla beans creating a full & lush body. The addition of some Black Lava Sea Salt amplifies the chocolate. Order online and maybe leave Santa a glass of Dark Ride this year instead of milk 😉

Uncle Dave’s Homemade Ice Cream – Yardley, PA

#SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020. We are thrilled about the news.

Uncle Dave’s Homemade Ice Cream located at Shady Brook Farm is a match made in heaven. After enjoying Shady Brook Farm’s Drive-thru Holiday Light Show just stop at the market and enjoy this delicious treat. I had a chocolate ice cream cup and a Vanilla Beanie milkshake. Both were fabulous and some of the best ice cream in the Philadelphia area. There is still time to enjoy this year to bring cheer and if this isn’t a holiday tradition for you and your family, you truly need to make it one. You can thank me later.

From Uncle Dave’s ” Uncle Dave’s Homemade Ice Cream opened at Shady Brook Farm in the spring of 2007. Shady Brook Farm is a 5th generation, family owned working farm in Bucks County, PA. Over the last 100+ years, Shady Brook has grown into a premier agricultural entertainment destination. In 2009 Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream opened its DelVal Creamery location on the campus of Delaware Valley University. We proudly offer the full complement of handcrafted super premium cups, cones and shakes. You can also find Uncle Dave’s super premium, handcrafted frozen desserts served throughout the metro Philadelphia area at many fine and unique restaurants. Dave “Uncle Dave” Adami was raised in Middletown Twp., PA, and still resides there with his better half, Kim, and legendary pure bred rat terrier “Dooie.” Dave began his frozen dessert career at Jack & Jill Ice Cream and worked for Rita’s Franchise Corporation prior to opening Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream at Shady Brook Farm. Being lifelong friends with Dave and Paul Fleming, and their sister, Amy Lamb (owners of Shady Brook Farm), made it obvious to Uncle Dave that Shady Brook Farm was a great fit for a traditional farm-based super premium ice cream experience.”

Who doesn’t love pizza? It truly is one of the greatest foods around. Bricco takes pizza and brings it to a whole new level in this town as my meal was delicious. Had a regular margherita cheese pizza and a short rib, pizza with caramelized onions and fontina cheese with arugula garnish. I will definitely return to try more of the menu.

Shang Hai 1 – (Chinatown) Philadelphia, PA

This place was such a joy with heavenly Wu Xi soup dumplings with pork and shrimp. These things were down right AWESOME and I could eat my fill of just them. Definitely some of the best soup dumplings around the city. I completed the meal eating beef stew with white rice. The beef was extremely tender and just broke apart and the sauce was delicious. I will be trying more of the menu here whenever I get a chance.

Mike’s BBQ – Philadelphia, PA

Mike’s BBQ – Philadelphia, PA

#SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020. We are thrilled about the news.

Michael Strauss has been serving his style of BBQ to his friends and family for years. After opening a successful gastropub in South Philly, he started serving samples of his BBQ to his guests, who clamored for more!  With years of practice under his belt, and apprenticeships near and far, he drove to Georgia and picked up a Lang Smoker! The Lang smoker is an old school style “stick smoker”.

Well I can attest that this old school style smoker is putting out some fabulous BBQ. After many years of the Philadelphia area being a barbecue desert, I am happy to see so many choices for good quality BBQ now. The full rack of ribs were cooked beautifully and tasted great dipping them into their homemade sauce and the wings were seasoned nice with every bite being juicy.
