🌭 Little Island Hot Dog Stand – NYC, NY Grabbed a quick bite while exploring Little Island Park, and even the hot dogs here were on point. Simple NYC-style dogs with that perfect snap.
🥘 Zoralie (Hell’s Kitchen) – NYC, NY A FANTASTIC no-frills, cash-only Dominican spot. I had the baked and stewed chicken with arroz, beans, and plantains — so hearty, comforting, and flavorful. Feels like home cooking in the best way.
🍱 i-Taste Express (Midtown) – NYC, NY Don’t sleep on this little spot. Crazy cheap combo meals that are surprisingly good — perfect if you’re catching a show or sightseeing nearby and want a fast, satisfying bite.
🌶️ Jasmine’s Caribbean Cuisine (Times Square area) – NYC, NY The jerk chicken here is 🔥🔥🔥. Full of flavor and spice, with that island-style warmth. A great sit-down spot with good vibes and even better food.
🥪 Mercado Little Spain – Jamón & Queso – NYC, NY Had the Jamón Ibérico sandwich, and WOW. Salty, savory, and totally satisfying. This whole market is a hidden gem — Spanish flavors, fun energy, and great for grazing.
🥯 Good Morning Breakfast Food Truck (Midtown) – NYC, NY Grabbed an overflowing turkey bacon, egg & cheese bagel from this street cart and it was everything you want in a NY breakfast — hot, messy, and totally delicious across the street from Virgin Hotel NYC.
🍦 Milk Bar – Stopped here for a soft serve dessert (hello cereal milk flavor!), and it did not disappoint. Sweet, nostalgic, and just the right size.
🍨 Gelatoville Gelateria Coffee & Bakery (Hell’s Kitchen) – A delightful little spot with house-made gelato, fresh pastries, and coffee. I had a scoop of gelato and it was creamy, flavorful, and super authentic. Whether you’re looking to cool off or just treat yourself, Gelatoville hits the sweet spot.
💡 Pro tip: Mix high and low. A little Broadway here, a little street food there, and you’ve got a weekend that’s both budget-friendly and totally unforgettable.

We stopped by Fisher Bay and WOW… the food did not disappoint.
Started things off with their 1 lb perch appetizer — perfectly crispy, golden, and absolutely packed with flavor. Honestly could’ve made a meal out of just that!
Then came the main event: a huge, flaky haddock entrée served with crispy onion rings and creamy coleslaw. Every bite was better than the last. 😋
🌅 Add in the waterfront views and laid-back atmosphere, and you’ve got one of the best hidden gems in Central New York. Whether you’re docking your boat or driving in for dinner, Fisher Bay is worth the trip.

One of the coolest things about Kura Sushi is their revolving sushi bar. Plates of sushi spin around on a conveyor belt right in front of you. You can grab what looks good, or if you want to try something specific, you can use a touchpad to order it directly. It’s like a sushi buffet, but way more fun! We got to try a little bit of everything and really enjoyed it all.

The food at Kura Sushi is always fresh. They use a special system to make sure every dish stays at the perfect temperature. The sushi plates are tracked, so you always get food that’s fresh and delicious. They take their food seriously and focus on using natural, healthy ingredients without any artificial sweeteners or preservatives.

What’s great about Kura is that they’re always coming up with new, creative dishes. Every month, they offer new seasonal items, so there’s always something new to try. From sushi to soups and even desserts, there’s always something exciting on the menu.
The Bikkura-Pon Game – A Fun Surprise!
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has a fun game called Bikkura-Pon. As you eat, you can collect plates of sushi, and when you’ve gathered enough, you get to play a game on the tablet. If you get 15 plates, you win a prize! It’s a fun way to make your dining experience even more interactive and enjoyable.
Why We Loved It
We had a great time trying so many different dishes and really loved the variety. From sushi to broths and even desserts, every bite was full of flavor. Kura’s focus on a fun atmosphere made our visit one to remember.

Seaford, DE, is a charming town. Visited Stargate Diner, where I indulged in their delightful chicken parmigiana paired with a hearty side of pasta. The Maryland crab soup had good flavor and packed with fcrab. The friendly service made the meal even more enjoyable, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices.

Next, I made my way to Hot Dog Johnny’s in Belvidere, NJ, a legendary roadside stand that’s been around for over 80 years. Enjoyed some amazing hot dogs with a frosty glass of buttermilk and birch beer while soaking in the nostalgic vibe. Don’t miss this classic stop! 🌭🍺
Thai Thani – Stroudsburg, PA
For a taste of Thailand, I stopped by Thai Thani in Stroudsburg, PA. This casual eatery did not disappoint – from the Steamed Fresh Prince Edward Island Mussels with lemongrass, basil, and kaffir lime leaves, to the Pad Ce Aew stir-fry and Thai Thani Fried Rice with pineapple and curry spices – each dish was packed with flavor and so satisfying! 🥢🍚

Had an awesome dining experience at Mari Mari in Center City, Philadelphia! 🍣🍜 This casual, fast-casual spot blends Korean and Japanese flavors in the best way possible.
Started with the Unagi Inari, which was something I’ve never had before – so unique and absolutely delicious! Then, I dove into their Tonkotsu Ramen, which was rich, savory, and the perfect comfort dish. 🥢
The real standout, though, were their inventive sushi rolls. From the Korean BBQ to the Fried Crab and Chicken Katsu, each roll brought something exciting and full of flavor. Highly recommend if you’re craving something fresh and different! 🌟
