They have a nice cheesesteak here with a quality order of fries. I had cheesesteak with fried onions and American Cheese. I do enjoy somewhere that has good fries. Nothing ruins a meal more than a bad batch of fries, cooked wrong, or those cheap double breaded type of fries. The cheesesteak wasn’t fatty or too greasy, and better than your average pizza joint. If you’re in the area they are a decent choice if in the mood for a cheesesteak.

The first game of the 2022 Philadelphia Eagles season is finally here this Sunday. So obviously the biggest question this week is where should you get your wings for tailgating or watching at home?
Well a fantastic answer is Ms Heavens Wings. They don’t have a website, Facebook Page, no Grubhub, no DoorDash, or menu posted online or online ordering of any kind. Just the old fashion call over the telephone at (856) 202-5448 to see what they have and place your order and yet they were named earlier this year as the Best Wings in the entire state of New Jersey. Yep, that’s right #1.
I don’t ever say best ever or #1 as I personally feel lists are arbitrary as everyday we feel or want something different, and I have many places that are my favorite depending on my mood but here is the bottom line. They serve AWESOME wings! I had the Fat Boy wings and they were crunchy on the outside, super juicy on the inside which not many places have perfected this, and they were great bursting with flavor having the exact balance of sweet and spicy. Just a really enjoyable wing. The sides I wanted to try yams and collard greens were sold out, so I went with their cabbage and green beans. The cabbage was a pleasant surprise and was seasoned wonderfully with a nice mix of carrots and peppers. The other thing I liked was they told me the order would be ready in about an hour and they would call me when it was about to be ready. They did just that in exactly an hour and were super friendly during checkout. I really felt the love as they say “Food made with love”.
So if you haven’t been they are certainly somewhere you should try if you enjoy wings. I will be looking forward to trying more flavors they offer as well as their other menu choices when around the area.

Wildwood means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but one thing stands throughout the generations. Wildwood is unique. It’s had its ups and downs, but being an entertainment and theme park destination has stood strong throughout the years. Below are a couple quick destinations that I enjoyed during a short stay.
Schellenger’s Restaurant – This is an iconic dining destination that has been here forever and for a good reason. The food was fabulous even with an order of take-out. BROILED SEAFOOD COMBINATION with Shrimp, scallops, clams casino, stuffed mushroom with Maryland crab & filet of white mild fish, local fried clam strips, MANHATTAN CLAM CHOWDER, sauteed veggies, and CAESAR SALAD with GRILLED SHRIMP.
Dragon House – As old school as it comes in regards to Chinese restaurants and that’s not a bad thing. Service was quick, friendly, and good was decent and affordable. Wonton soup with pork fried rice and chicken and broccoli.
Grab A Wiener
What’s a visit to the boardwalk without boardwalk type of food to enjoy. Here is a plain wiener or as they say big wiener in small buns 😉
Island Bagels
Just the usual bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. They do offer fresh squeezed orange juice which is a nice touch.

You could spend hours just browsing all the cool Italian specialties they have in this store that you may not be able to normally find around. The best part of coming here is the fresh foods they have available for purchase and sandwiches. I went with their chicken cutlet sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. It was priced just right and hit the spot.

The service here makes you feel like you are enjoying breakfast at a friends house. They go above and beyond to make you welcome and you can tell it’s a family operation. The bacon, egg, and cheese onion bagel was fantastic and spot on. The bagel is a little fluffier than most places, but still really good.

Nothing is better than being able to order fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast in my opinion. It is a great treat. Well not only can you get a fresh squeezed OJ here, but their bagels are fabulous and delicious here. I had bacon, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel. Really somewhere to try if around the area.

The meal items are literally harvested onsite and served that very day from the earth to the plate. It’s a different story when it’s actually, literally farm-table. From corn to tomatoes and more, the farms of Southern NJ are among America’s cream of the crop and Beach Plum farm is a 62 acre sustainably worked farm. On the farm site, nestled in an Amish-style barn in West Cape May, NJ, Beach Plum’s Farm Kitchen serves family-style dinners very close to downtown Visit Cape May MAC. These multi-course dinners place special focus on the freshly harvested crops springing up on Beach Plum’s fields and greenhouses, as well as their sustainably raised eggs and meats. What a treat this place is. I had their famous hot roast beef sandwich on the Rando Bakery “Atlantic City Roll” with sharp provolone and an order of boardwalk fries. Everything was great! This meal will not be for everyone, but I enjoyed every part of it. Different than what anyone around them is offering and unique. They provide a HUGE serving of roast beef and fries so you won’t go hungry after eating here for sure.
