NYC Eats 2020

NYC Eats 2020

I recently heard that New York City has close to 27,000 restaurants. If you break that down, you could eat at a new place every day for almost 77 years. This in theory will never be accomplished, but who knows. Humans are living longer and longer so anything is possible I guess. Below is my attempt to start eating at as many as possible. It may take me a few more than 77 years at the pace I’m at, but you have to start someone. This is certainly not a best of list, but here are a few places I enjoyed on my latest adventure in NYC.

Buenavista Restaurant & Bar – NYC, NY

Had seared baby calamari over roasted spicy potato with artisanal magic Jerez, seared octopus, stuffed clam with scallops, shrimp, and mussels, creamy lobster stew soup and green asparagus with favas and chantille foam on top, and roasted Iberian pork Osobuco, over scalloped ovened potatoes and spinach served with green apple radish aujus. Really just an amazing meal and service was first class. Highly recommend a visit here.

At Nine Restaurant & Bar – NYC, NY

Had shrimp kanom jeep (steamed minced shrimp wrapped in wonton skin served with vinaigrette sauce) and shrimp pad see eiw (broad flat rice noodle stir fried with egg, American and Chinese broccoli in sweet soy sauce. Very cool atmosphere and delicious food that was served quickly and efficiently.

That was a fantastic way to start the morning with a fresh made bacon, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel. When I say fresh made, I mean fresh as they are making the bagels right there. A great breakfast stop that was fast and affordable.

Schmackary’s – Hell’s Kitchen – NYC, NY

The funfetti cookie was heavenly and one of the best cookies I have had in a while. The cookies and cream as well and the classic were a yummy treat as well. The entire menu seems like fun and hope to try some more soon.

Cork & Kale – NYC, NY
