Disney World Eats 2020

Disney World Eats 2020

18

Disney, it’s the most magical place on Earth. Had a great time and was able to ride every single ride in every single park (excluding waterparks) and that included all the Star Wars Galaxy Edge rides such as Star Wars Rise of Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. But did the food live up to greatness of the theme parks? Let me just say it didn’t reach the levels of excitement like the rides Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot or Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom. It was more on the level of It’s a Small World at Magic Kingdom. Easy to appease every palate, a well-oiled operation in the works, and not too many surprises, but still a solid performance overall that most people will enjoy. Below is a list of the places I remembered to take pictures in no particular order. Regardless of what I ate, it was a magnificent and priceless experience to watch my son’s excitement that hopefully each child can experience at least once in their life.

Nine Dragons – Epcot – Orlando, FL – Sichuan Dumplings made with chicken with chili oil sauce and lamp chops grilled in a garlic cumin glaze, sweet and sour vegetables, and coconut sticky rice.

Black Spire Outpost – Hollywood Studios – Orlando, FL – Smoked Kaadu sticky pork ribs, blueberry corn muffin, and cabbage slaw.

14

50’s Prime Time Café – Hollywood Studios – Orlando, FL – Cousin Megan’s traditional beef and pork meatloaf topped with tomato glaze, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and green beans.

12

PizzeRizzo – Hollywood Studios – Orlando, FL – plain pizza

16

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café – Magic Kingdom – Orlando, FL – Bacon cheeseburger with onions, mushrooms, and bbq sauce with a side of fries.

17

Yak Yeti – Animal Kingdom – Orlando, FL – stir fried beef with white rice and egg roll.

15

Flame Tree Barbecue – Animal Kingdom – Orlando, FL – bbq chicken with baked beans and cole slaw

With a complete makeover of what used to be a Five Guys location is Pho Asia. They really renovated it nicely and you would never know what was there previously. The service was friendly and quick. Pictured is a strawberry smoothie and Hu tie u bo Kho a rice noodle beef stew soup. I would go back to try a few other things on their menu.

Rangoon Burmese Restaurant – Philadelphia, PA

Rangoon Burmese Restaurant – Philadelphia, PA

Rangoon

Really enjoyed a lunch special at Rangoon. I had the Lemongrass Beef Curry which is marinated beef chunks, lemongrass and potatoes cooked in curry sauce with vegetable fried rice. The service was extremely friendly and personable for take-out and prices very reasonable. There are many other items on the menu I would like to try so I will certainly be back for more.

Buk Chon Korean Cuisine – Old City – Philadelphia, PA

Buk Chon Korean Cuisine – Old City – Philadelphia, PA

With the large amount of choices in the Old City area you could probably eat somewhere different every day of the month and not duplicate any destination. Let me tell you that if you are not looking to experiment and want a good choice no matter the day, I highly recommend Buk Chon Korean Cuisine. From start to finish I had a fabulous and delicious meal with spectacular service in a nice family friendly atmosphere. The meal consisted of Korean Grape Punch, banchan, Korean boneless fried chicken covered with honey-soy sauce, seafood Jap-Chae, seafood pan seared crispy green onion pancake, spicy pork bowl, and galbi bourguignon. It was a great time and will return for sure.

Another quality Jersey Diner. Seafood bisque, prime rib topped with onion rings, order of fries and apple sauce. Nice diner ambiance also.

This place is a South Jersey dessert institution and there is a reason why people swear by this place. It’s because they are down right delicious. Had the chocolate glazed cream filled doughnut here and it was heavenly.

Clubhouse One – Miami Airport Terminal D – Miami, FL

It’s airport food so sadly there wasn’t any surprises here to be found. Had black bean soup, wings, calamari, and Chicken Parmesan.

Tu Sei Bella – Audubon, NJ

Sitting in a large strip mall, you can find Tu Sei Bella. They focus heavily on pizza, but they have a large menu of the Italian favorites. I went with their chicken cutlet sandwich with provolone, and spinach with a side of old bay fries with cheese.

Oath Pizza – Fashion District – Philadelphia, PA

Oath Pizza – Fashion District – Philadelphia, PA

The former mall The Gallery has been transformed into The Fashion District. They have a few food options to choose from and Oath Pizza is one of them. I gave them a try and had their Porky Fig Pizza – Mozzarella, Creme de Brie, Applegate Smoked Bacon, Black Mission Figs, Balsamic Drizzle, and fresh Basil. The service was quick and friendly, pizza was decent enough, and price was reasonable. I’ll be interested to see how The Fashion District finally pans out in the long term and if more dining and shopping destinations open up.

Topgolf – Mount Laurel, NJ

Topgolf – Mount Laurel, NJ

This place is high tech golfing excitement in a fun and luxurious setting with food. Golf of course is the main attraction and the best part of Topgolf. What about the food? Is it a hole in one? It was decent and respectable for an entertainment destination. I had the Grilled Backyard Wings and Brisket Grilled Cheese. Bring some friends and have a good time here.
