The big game is here this week and what is the big food to enjoy? Wings of course. You don’t want just regular or sub-standard wings for your viewing party. You want something that will wow the crowd. Well that’s where The Jug Handle Inn comes in. Not only can you get delicious wings, you can get awesome sandwiches as well. I enjoyed everything about The Jug Handle Inn. From the ease of ordering online, to the friendly service when picking up, to how great the food was this place is the real deal. The wings were great and I had the Tony Bruno Sauce (honey Bbq and Medium Garlic) on them which was so yummy, but the big surprise came from how much I enjoyed the Hot Roast Beef with their own ‘jug made’ top sirloin served with au jus and horseradish on a kaiser roll with homemade chips. As it says on their menu it was indeed AWESOME! The au jus was just a delight. So if you want to score a touchdown this Sunday, be sure to order some wings and a roast beef sandwich from here.

This isn’t somewhere you hear about often, but let me tell you they served me a really nice burger and delicious wings. They are a chain, but if you aren’t aware of them or haven’t been to one lately you might want to check them out. I had their Whiskey burger on brioche Bun, white American, onion strips, chipotle aioli, and whiskey bbq sauce with fries. The burger was good, but I highly recommend their mango habanero naked wings cooked lightly as they were fantastic. Everything was far above average and it was very affordable for the quality they provided. The interior is slick and modern, service was quick and friendly, and online ordering with them was seamless.

The experience here was a treat. The ambiance immediately puts you in the mood to enjoy some Japanese cuisine, service was friendly, attentive, and fast, prices reasonable, and food fantastic. They were jammed packed during my visit and for a good reason. They check all the boxes you look for to have a good meal. I had miso soup that was plentiful in ingredients in the soup unlike other places that skimp on the important parts, kani sushi, surf and turf roll which was thinly sliced filet mignon, tempura lobster, kani, and asparagus, topped with micro greens, and Yaki Udon combo with chicken, shrimp, beef, and vegetables. Everything was great. Highly recommend a visit. To truly make your trip here AWESOME if you go on the weekend, bring a couple friends and visit Ultimate Archery – Maple Shade, NJ next door for a REALLY fun adventure for everyone.

Hidden inside an old strip mall area and in the corner of the parking lot sits Osteria 545. You have to be looking for them to find them. Once there though the service was friendly and the food pretty good. I enjoyed their chicken parmigiana with linguine. It was better than average and cooked nicely. The gravy was sweet and the chicken was moist. Would be interested to try some other menu items to see if they would be added to my list of places that I would frequent if in the area. Looking to begin 2023 with a bang food wise? Well look no further than Lillo’s. This place is the real deal. Everything I had was hands down amazing and delicious. Most places do one thing and do that one thing well. Lillo’s is excelling on multiple fronts. I had their Trenton Tomato Pie, Cheesesteak with fried onions, Garlic Knot Chicken Parm, and Meatball Sandwich. Everything was top notch, service quick and friendly, and prices good for the quality of food. They were beloved by many in 2022 and I don’t see why they won’t continue to be a powerhouse for years to come as they are a great way to start 2023.

The movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ truly put Bali on the map for many people around the world. You can feel the spirituality almost everywhere you go. It’s stunningly beautiful throughout. Everyone is friendly and helpful. That’s all fine and good, but what about the food? Well you rest your weary jag-lagged head when you arrive and know that there isn’t a lack of delicious food no matter where you visit on the island.
Kuta Social Club – Rooftop of Mamaka by Ovolo – Kuta, Bali
On the rooftop of Mamaka by Ovolo is Kuta Social Club overlooking the famous surfer paradise Kuta Beach. Not only is the view amazing, but the food was fantastic as well. I had the fresh caught grilled calamari, grilled king prawns, and grilled veggies. Mamaka is such a cool place and the vibe is truly #GoodVibrations as they state.
Seafood House Restaurant – Kuta, Bali
How can you not love a restaurant where you chose the actual food from a fresh fish tank that you’ll eat? That’s exactly what you do at Seafood House. You order your food and then head to the tank to pick the one you want them to cook. The asari clams sauteed with Kamheong Sauce were out of this world awesome, grilled lobster with salt, pepper, and garlic was top notch, and the fried noodles with roast duck were divine. Highly recommend a visit here.
Warung Nenas – Kuta, Bali
The street to get here is about the size of an alleyway, but worth the hassle to enjoy a great meal. I had their beef rendang and chicken satay with a fresh squeezed watermelon drink. You should give them a try too.
Sate Babi Bli Nyoman – Kuta, Bali
You HAVE to visit this vendor at Kuta Beach. You can google Pork satay bli nyoman and get the area where they should be. For just over $1 you will enjoy some of the finest grilled meat you’ll ever eat anywhere. The special is pork satay and it is truly magical. A must when in Kuta.
Warung Kampung – Legian, Bali
How they describe themselves on their menu is perfect. Warung Kampung is a small restaurant that provides traditional Indonesian cuisine with a very cheap price, but it tastes very good with a taste of home cooking. I couldn’t say it better myself. You have to find them hidden off the main road, but the search is well worth it. I had the Ayam Goreng Masak Kecap and Nasi Goreng with fresh banana juice made there. Everything was so flavorful and yummy. A great find and visit.
Warung Muslim Madura Indonesian Food – Sanur Night Market – Sanur, Bali
Night markets are where you can find some great deals and interesting foods sometimes not found elsewhere. At this night market the place to try was Warung Madura and for good reason. I had the satay kambing and gule kambing with white rice. Everything was popping with spices and flavor and very good. Couldn’t beat the prices either. If in this area of Bali this food stall is a good find.
WOK BOYZ Nasi Goreng Pantai – Kuta, Bali
Hidden in the back of a parking lot is Wok Boyz and it’s well worth your time to find them. The rice is awesome and some dishes are less than $1. They happily will describe every dish to you and whip up your meal fresh in minutes. This is a great find and you should try them.
D Alas Warung – Ubud, Bali
This place is so serene and beautiful. You enjoy your meal with amazing views in every direction you look. Best part is the food was really good too. I had their Nasi Campur dish and enjoyed everything.
Kuta Smash Burger – Kuta, Bali
Burgers are not what comes to mind when thinking of Balinese food, yet slightly off the main road from Kuta Beach is a repurposed shipping cargo container where Kuta Smash Burger can be found. I had the smash cheeseburger with fried onions and fries and it was actually really good. Definitely worth a visit.
Street 32 Cocktail Bar & Eatery – Kuta, Bali
This place is fantastic for people watching while enjoying your meal. I had their street food fest that was a little bit of everything for dinner one night. I also enjoyed a fabulous breakfast here multiple times during my stay in Bali. You won’t be disappointed dining here.
BingBong Bali – Kuta, Bali
If you look on social media this place serves crazy huge servings of ice cream with candy and chocolate as well as anything else you mind might think of. I wasn’t in the mood to sit down and wanted to enjoy something on the go so I just had a vanilla milkshake. Seeing the wild creations is half the fun while visiting here even if you aren’t eating them.

Searching for a dining destination with a great view or nice outdoor facilitates to dine at when the warm weather returns? Look no further than Lake House Restaurant. They have both and a very interesting backstory. This is the message on Resy when you make a reservation with them:

Originally built in the early half of the 1900’s by Polish immigrants, the Inn was as impressive as it was popular. Dances and parties were common occurrences, and the Inn maintained a respectable business. As the century wore on, so did the rumors of rooms rented by the hour, an illegal brothel, and a basement-located speakeasy during The Prohibition.
Listed as a “haunt” on Strange USA and other such paranormal resources, the Inn is perhaps best known for its bountiful supply of ghosts, spirits, and paranormal activity. There are endless rumors surrounding the building being haunted by the original owners, a “lady in black”, and even a ghost aptly named Victor.
Now the popular Lake House Restaurant, we can’t guarantee that you’ll experience any paranormal activity when you visit us, but we can guarantee a dining experience you won’t soon forget, unbelievable scenery, and an altogether pleasant – if not spirit-laden – atmosphere.’
Stories are good to talk about while visiting there and talking with friends about, but the food is what is important now. You can rest easy as you are in good hands here. The meal I had was fantastic. The seafood bisque was flavorful, the clams and the broth were delicious, and the prime rib was a really good portion size and the crust surrounding the meat was fabulous. This is a really great place for a nice view and meal with friends.

This place was such a cool little place. Loved the vibe, food, and awesome service. The prices are very reasonable as well. I really enjoyed the steamed dumplings and Bun Bo Hue. The Bun Bo Hue was filled to the brim and just the right mixture of spicy, salty, and oh so flavorful. Everything was fresh and the sides provided were perfect and a decent portion opposed to some places that don’t give you enough. If in the area you should really check them out.
