We are thrilled about the news.

We are excited to welcome acclaimed chef/restaurateur/cookbook author Tanya Holland of Brown Sugar Kitchen who has launched a wonderful podcast Tanya’s Table in partnership with Muddhouse Media. Season One of Tanya’s Table features Holland in riveting conversations with many of today’s leading innovators and tastemakers: Questlove, Samin Nosrat, Alice Waters, Danny Meyer, Tyler Florence, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Bassem Youssef, Carla Hall, Gina Torres, Ledisi, Aisha Tyler, Kevin Youkilis, Goapele, and Taniya Nayak. A James Beard Foundation Media Awards Judge and U.S. Department of State culinary diplomat, Holland takes listeners on a 45-minute adventure each episode of Tanya’s Table by offering both a behind-the-scenes look at her guests’ intriguing lives as well as bringing forth vital issues facing the world. Tanya’s Table spotlights Holland and her guests discussing food, culture, and diverse foodways as podcast listeners peer through the window to experience their candid, and often hilarious, conversations. While food is the center of attention, Holland explores other lifestyle topics such as travel, social awareness, self-help and work/life balance, challenges and triumphs, discovering off-the-radar gems, sustainability, the role of mentors, and more. Every episode further delves into each guest’s individual identity through their sense of taste (with food, design, style, etc.) and discovering foods of their heritage.

Also we are happy to talk to Tara Teaspoon Bench the author of “LIVE LIFE DELICIOUSLY: Recipes for Busy Weekdays and Leisurely” from Shadow Mountain Publishing. As a former food editor and stylist for Martha Stewart, Tara knows how to create and showcase gorgeously themed meals for every lifestyle and occasion. In her first cookbook, she shares more than 120 delicious show stopping recipes that are designed to impress. The book also features a section where she provides a basic recipe which can then be easily transformed into two or three new recipes to make meal planning a breeze during busy weeknight schedules. Live Life Deliciously with Tara Teaspoon shows serious foodies how to present food as an interesting and beautiful culinary experience with dishes that taste as delicious as they look. Tara has spent more than fifteen years in the food publishing industry creating recipes and articles, and food styling for various magazines, books, television and advertising. Most recently she has been the Food and Entertaining Director of Ladies’ Home Journal magazine. Prior to the Journal, Tara was a Food Editor at Martha Stewart Living, KiDS Magazine, and Weddings magazines. We are thrilled about the news. We welcome Ronny Joseph Lvovski the creator of the popular Primal Gourmet blog with over 1.5 million views, over 200,000 Instagram followers and now the author of “The Primal Gourmet Cookbook: Whole30 Endorsed: It’s Not a Diet If It’s Delicious” from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Ronny Joseph Lvovski struggled with a lifetime of obesity, failed diets, and low self-esteem before discovering the Paleo diet. Once he eliminated grains and dairy from his diet, his allergies, asthma, upset stomachs, headaches, back pain, lethargy, excess weight, and cravings disappeared. After losing 40 pounds, Ronny set out to create gourmet-quality meals that followed The Paleo Diet guidelines and left him feeling satisfied. He shared those recipes on his Primal Gourmet blog, and became one of the most popular contributors to the Whole30 Recipes Instagram account. The Primal Gourmet Cookbook, Ronny’s first cookbook, is fully endorsed by Whole30 and includes a foreword by Whole30 co-creator and host off Do the Thing podcast Melissa Hartwig. The cookbook includes more than 120 recipes, with blog fan-favorites plus all-new dishes such as Mojo Loco Chicken Wings, Short Rib Ragu, Jerk Ribs, and Moroccan Lamb Stew, proving healthy diets really can be delicious.

Then sit back and enjoy a nice cup of coffee while we talk to Jeff Lincoln the founder of Passero’s Coffee Roasters a family-run business that has been serving the Philadelphia region for more than 30 years that started in SEPTA – iseptaphilly.com Suburban Station Station Shops. They have been named “Best of Philly” in Philadelphia Magazine blind tasting championship, have a roasting facility in North Philadelphia, and was named one of Philadelphia’s Top 5 coffee shops on Yelp.

To spice things up and to get us fired up while we talk to him will be Ross Flynn the Co-Founder of Pennsyvania’s Maestros’ Sauce Co.. The Pittsburgh Pennsylvania based company line of small batch, handmade everyday hot sauces, is now fulfilling orders nationwide. Since launching in 2019, the company has grown a loyal and avid following in Visit Pittsburgh and beyond. Maestros’ Sauce Co. is helmed by a team of four friends that share a common love for hot sauce. Enthusiasts of the spicy condiment, the quartet decided to create sauces and flavor profiles that were missing in the current landscape of sauces. With flavor-first and try anything philosophies Maestros’ is proving there’s more to hot sauce than just heat.

Oyster Cracker Café at Bayshore Center at Bivalve – Port Norris, NJ

Oyster Cracker Café at Bayshore Center at Bivalve – Port Norris, NJ

SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020. We are thrilled about the news.

The Bayshore Center at Bivalve is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the understanding of the human impact on New Jersey’s aquatic environment through education, advocacy, and programming. BCB envisions a New Jersey with clean, safe and healthy water for recreation, consumption and commercial fishing and operates the authentically restored 1928 oyster schooner A.J. MEERWALD, New Jersey’s official Tall Ship, as a hands-on sailing classroom throughout the region. It also operates the Delaware Bay Museum and offers shore-based programs at its campus and schooner’s home port of Bivalve on the scenic Maurice River in Cumberland County.

The best part of all is that restaurant Oyster Cracker Café is onsite to enjoy all the things mentioned above and enjoy a nice waterfront meal. I had the oyster chowder, fried oysters, homemade chips, corn and black bean salsa, and peach pie made with local peaches. Everything was delicious and recommend a visit. Just be aware that the are only open until the end of September as it is seasonal.

#SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020. We are thrilled about the news.

Charlies has been around since 1935 so they must be doing something right. Well they are in fact doing something awesome. Amazing burgers and fries that is. I had a cheeseburger, a Peg Special (Double Cheeseburger, with fried onions and bacon), and an order of large fries. Really can’t say enough good things about my meal here. If you’re in the area, you are doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by. Just be sure to order a few burgers as they are tiny, but well worth it. Enjoy and thank me later.

Joe’s Farm Market at Joe’s Garden Center – Galloway, NJ

Joe’s Farm Market at Joe’s Garden Center – Galloway, NJ

#SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020. We are thrilled about the news.

The convenience of using the Atlantic City Express or the Garden State Parkway has made the journey to the Jersey Shore much easier for many. What those paths can’t replicate or replace though are the many Jersey Fresh farm markets and businesses along the way you are missing out on and unable to visit if you took alternate routes instead of the highways.

One such gem is Joe’s Farm Market at Joe’s Garden Center in Galloway, New Jersey. The first thing you should get, but not pictured was their out of this world delicious White Sweet Jersey Corn at a great price. The next treat was their homemade Peach Pie that Joe’s mother (Anita) and sister bake themselves. This pie is hands down better than the majority of peach pies I’ve had from high end bakeries. It was really good. Even if you want to take the highway, you should put this place as a pitstop along your way.

Small Bites Radio production update and return to air date

Small Bites Radio production update and return to air date

Hello again friend of Small Bites Radio,

All I can say is WOW. What a wild and crazy time this year has been. I know nothing is anywhere close to the same as it was before or where we want it to be in any manner, but my only hope is that you, your family, and friends are all healthy and safe.

You are probably asking yourself what could we have to say that you would want to know about? The answer is that Donato and I have decided to give this rinky dink program and distraction from life for an hour every other Sunday a try again provided positive trends continue in our area. Our anticipated return to broadcast is currently Sunday, August 9th with just the crew appearing giving updates on that episode.

After August 9th feel free to send us any guest or segment idea suggestions our way at smallbitesradio@gmail.com and we’ll schedule accordingly. Please be aware the biggest change regarding the program is that we will NOT have any in-studio guests until further notice. All appearances and segments will be prerecorded or live call-in. Only Donato and I will be in-studio. This isn’t our preferred method but is in the best interest of safety. Hopefully this rule will be able to change sooner rather than later.

If you are interested in sending a request to schedule something, PLEASE send it in a email to smallbitesradio@gmail.com and DO NOT reply to this post or send to our social media accounts otherwise it will probably get lost in the shuffle and threads. People have been asking daily to book segments so please be patient with any correspondence to us or delays in our response.

We were lucky enough to be named one of the best Hospitality shows on the planet for 2020 the exact year that the entire hospitality industry has hit rock bottom and has more uncertainty than ever. With that in mind we are aiming to be named 2021’s Top Thing that others wish would have disappeared along with the pandemic. I have a good feeling we can accomplish this with our usual style of lazy interviewing and low budget production. Fingers Crossed 😉

Thank you and looking forward to working and talking with everyone again soon. If you have any questions or need anything else just us know!

Small Bites Radio #Coronavirus #COVID-19 Status

Small Bites Radio #Coronavirus #COVID-19 Status

Unfortunately due to the continued crisis regarding Coronavirus COVID-19 and the safety of our guests, talent, and studio staff being of utmost importance, all recordings of Small Bites Radio are currently cancelled. As of now ALL bookings are canceled until further notice. If you have an appearance scheduled for a later date, we will be determining the viability of that show occurring closer to the date and reach out to the person who booked the segment or slot appearance personally if and when that show will occur. Unless you are contacted by us DO NOT visit the studio or reach out to any team member of Small Bites Radio or staff personnel of Wildfire Radio. No segments are being taped remotely for any call-in guests either. ALL production has ceased and is suspended.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you or your clients. This is unprecedented territory with a lot of uncertainty currently. With this in mind and no end in sight on the horizon our policy has changed and we are NOT rescheduling any appearances any longer for shows cancelled. ALL appearances that were to happen have been FULLY CANCELLED. Also our schedule has been frozen and we are NOT accepting any new bookings no matter how far out the date requested until the situation is deemed by local, state, and federal officials that the outbreak has been fully contained.

In keeping a somber tone we have halted all official social media posts coming from Small Bites Radio on all platforms in respect to lives lost and life as we know it changing drastically every day. Any social media activity from any member of Small Bites is unsanctioned currently and they are their personal views and opinions. This is in regard to any format that any message may be published as well as all writing or points of view are personal and they belong to the author of the particular piece. Nothing in any manner is an authentic representation of what Small Bites Radio stands for nor are any messages, posts, videos, audio, etc. endorsed in any manner.

Now is not the time for promotion of any kind. Any distraction from defeating the virus is counterproductive in our belief. For the safety of yourself and others around we beg of you to be sure to share only information from reliable sources regarding this crisis. Together we can get through this.

Hopefully this will resolve itself sooner rather than later, and everyone at Small Bites Radio looks forward to the day we can see everyone again and have you join us to be part of the fun we are known for. Until then please stay safe and healthy and may tomorrow bring a better day.
